“When I paint I like to start with a simple idea, such as green to represent the color of grass or of an open-space, so then the painting can take over more readily. In order to do that, I let my visual intuition guide the piece and the idea to become gradually pointless.”
Born in 1982 in Buenos Aires, Alejandro Martín Parisi has lived in Paris since 2016. His artworks explore the technique of collage and consist of arbitrary appropriations of symbols and figures from the history of art. His works have been exhibited in Buenos Aires, at the Museum of Fine Arts of Lujan Fernán Félix de Amador and at the Museum of Fine Arts of Tandil. In 2018, the Grand Monde Gallery and the Sobering Gallery devoted two personal exhibitions to him.
